Rank Overview:
Probatus are trainees and new blood within a Colosseum team. This is a probationary position where skill, discipline, and commitment are evaluated. Probatus trains with the team but does not yet represent its full strength until proven in battle.

Gladiators are full members of a Colosseum team. They represent their Chapter or Legion in competitive battle and are expected to uphold discipline, teamwork, and performance standards. This rank forms the core fighting force of the team.

DOMINUS | Master of the Team

Rank Overview:
The Dominus is the unquestioned leader of a Colosseum team. They command strategy, preparation, and execution in battle. Authority is earned through performance, respect, and the ability to lead under pressure.

PRAEFECT OF THE BLACKSKY COLOSSEUM | Master of the Arena
“Order gives meaning to competition.”

Rank Overview:
The Praefect oversees all operations of the Blacksky Colosseum. This role governs competition structure, rule enforcement, scheduling, and team eligibility. The Praefect ensures the Colosseum remains fair, disciplined, and aligned with Blacksky’s standards. The Praefect does not compete. They preserve the integrity of the arena.

Reports to: Custodians

Authority Scope:
✦ The Praefect serves as the highest command authority within the Colosseum Pillar of Blacksky.
✦ Their authority extends across Teams and all ranks contained within the Colosseum.
✦ The Praefect does not exercise direct authority over the other Pillars of Blacksky, including Imperium Command, Operations Command, the Leadership Academy, the Senate, or the Blackguard.
✦ Leadership positions such as the Praetorians, Executor, Master of the Academy, and Senate leadership operate as independent Pillar authorities and report directly to the Custodians.
✦ Cooperation between Pillars is expected; however, command authority remains within each Pillar's established chain of command unless otherwise directed by the Custodians.
