TRIALS & ADVANCEMENT​

The Blacksky Colosseum does not exist for recreation.
It exists to separate claim from proof.

Trials and Advancement ensure that strength inside Blacksky is not assumed, inherited, or negotiated. It is demonstrated — repeatedly, visibly, and without exception.

No rank protects you here.
No reputation carries weight.
Only performance endures.

The Colosseum is the competitive pillar of Blacksky. Its purpose is to test discipline, performance, and merit under pressure.

I. ENTRY INTO THE COLOSSEUM

ELIGIBILITY
A member may enter the Colosseum only if they:

• Are a confirmed member of Blacksky
• Stand free of active discipline
• Belong to a Chapter or Legion
• Accept the Colosseum Oath in full

Entry is voluntary.
Once entered, expectation replaces permission.

II. TRIAL OF ENTRY — PROBATUS

STATUS: PROBATUS
“Not yet proven.”

Probatus are unproven combatants.

They are not competitors yet — they are being observed.

TRIAL CONDITIONS​

• Participation in scheduled Colosseum matches
• Adherence to all Colosseum rules
• Compliance with authority without hesitation

No win requirement exists at this stage.
Skill without discipline is still failure.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Probatus are judged on:

• Discipline under pressure
• Communication and cohesion
• Respect for authority and opponents
• Willingness to correct failure

Excuses are recorded as weakness.

Failure at this stage carries no dishonor — but no advancement.

III. ADVANCEMENT TO GLADIATOR

PROMOTION REQUIREMENTS
(All are mandatory)

• Completion of the Trial of Entry
• Clean conduct record
• Demonstrated reliability in team execution
• Formal approval by Colosseum authority

Advancement is conferred, never requested.

STATUS: GLADIATOR
“Victory is my trade.”

Gladiators are full Colosseum combatants.
They form the spine of the arena.

They are expected to:

• Execute without hesitation
• Lose without collapse
• Win without arrogance

IV. DOMINUS DESIGNATION

STATUS: DOMINUS
“First among equals.”

A Dominus is not elevated above others.
They are burdened before them.

DESIGNATION CONDITIONS

• Sustained Gladiator performance
• Proven command presence
• Trust of teammates
• Recognition by Colosseum authority

A Dominus does not demand loyalty.
They earn compliance through competence.

RESPONSIBILITY
The Dominus is accountable for:

• Team readiness
• Tactical discipline
• Conduct inside and outside matches

Failure of discipline reflects first on the Dominus — always.

V. FAILURE, REGRESSION & REMOVAL
Advancement is not permanent.

A competitor may be:

• Regressed in Colosseum standing
• Removed from the Colosseum entirely

Triggers include:

• Repeated misconduct
• Defiance of authority
• Undermining team cohesion
• Erosion of discipline

Removal is corrective.
It is not debated.

VI. SEPARATION FROM CLAN RANK
Colosseum standing:

• Does not override rank held within the Imperium Command Pillar
• Does not grant authority outside the arena
• Does not shield a member from consequence

Inside the Colosseum, all are equal.

The arena does not care who you are elsewhere.
